Supernatural is an American TV drama series based on the genre of mystery, horror, adventure, action, thriller, occult, and fantasy drama. The TV series was created by Eric Kripke, who’s an American writer, and television producer. The series was first aired in September 2005 on the famous American TV network The WB.
Later on, the drama series also became part of the CW network’s lineup. The series Supernatural was shot in Vancouver, British Columbia, and in the surrounding areas.
The very first episode or the pilot episode was so successful that it was viewed by 5.69 million viewers around the world. After the first four seasons, the series was picked up by the WB for a full season. There have been 15 seasons of the series so far with 327 episodes.
The series has a very gripping plot and revolves around two brothers as they hunt down the ghosts, demons, monsters, and other supernatural occult beings. The drama series is a treat for all horror genre lovers.
The two ghostbuster brothers namely Sam and Dean Winchester follow in on their father’s footsteps in their profession of busting ghosts and hunting them down. They trace down and drive away ghosts, supernatural creatures, monsters, and even fallen gods as they try to save innocent people along the way.
This has always been their family business and after the death of their father the siblings soon found out that the hunt is not only about killing and hacking monsters, but it also has a lot to do with the more powerful creatures like the reapers, angels, and sometimes even death.
The series has been very well received by the public and has been rated quite highly. On Rotten Tomatoes the series received 87% of the approval of fans and had an average rating of 7.32 out of 10, based on 31 reviews from the fans worldwide.
