The movie revolves around two bikers played by Fonda and Hopper, who ride through the American Southwest and South, carrying and shipping cocaine across America.
The movie is a fictional one but based on a realistic, modern, and contemporary genre. The movie depicts and explores issues related to society, landscape, tensions, that took place in the 1960s in the United States, such as the hippies and their movement, punk culture, drugs, and communal life.

The film shows use of real drugs and marijuana as well as other kinds of drugs and substances. So the plot goes like this: there are two biker guys called Wyatt and Billy played by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper respectively.
They are Harley riding hippies and run errands to finish drug deals in California, as they go out in search of spiritual truth.
