What We Do In the Shadows is an American mockumentary TV drama series from the horror-comedy and fantasy genre. The TV series was created by Jemaine Clement, a famous New Zealand actor, musician, comedian, and TV producer and writer, known for his works like Flight of the Conchords, etc.
The TV series is the second series in the franchise ‘What We Do in the Shadow’ and it’s based on the film of the same name that came out in 2014. The series has a fictional and fanciful plot and revolves around four vampire roommates in Staten, Island.
The four vampires are Nandor the Relentless, Laszlo Cravensworth the English nobleman, Nadja the Romani Vampire, and Colin Robinson the Energy Sucker.
Nandor is a bloodthirsty leader of the clan and also the leader of the fictional kingdom of Persia called Al-Quolanudar. He is the oldest of all and has a human assistant and familiar Guillermo. Laszlo is the English nobleman vampire who is obsessed with thoughts of sex and is a former porn star.
Nadja, the Romani Vampire, is the one who turned Laszlo into a vampire and is now married to him. She is constantly frustrated by his male roommates and really misses her human life. Colin is the energy sucker and feeds himself by draining other humans and vampires of their energy, and his usual tactic to suck away others’ energy is by being boring and annoying.
The cast is what has made this drama series into something quite fascinating and cool. The amazing actors included in the cast are Kayvan Novak as Nandor, Matt Berry as Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Harvey Guillen as Guillermo, Mark Proksch as Colin Robinson and others.
